Although my non-fiction work is geared toward aiding writers hone their craft, it is my fiction work that makes me the happiest. I write under a pseudonym of Olivia Gaines. This is my mother’s maiden name and I use it with pride. I am not a prideful writer, but I do take loads of pleasure in sharing my work. I have been asked on several occasions, “Cheryl what do you write?” I never have an answer. In all honesty, I write literary fiction. That is my genre. I am not a formulaic writer. I write what inspires me. I write the stories of characters who have something to say. I am rolling out a Slice of Life Series which focuses on those moments in life that we share with another human, which reminds us of not only who we are, but why we are.
I write, because I have something to say.
I write because of who I am.
I write because of what I am.
I write, because I am.
Happy reading.
Here are some of my traveling photos.
